I grew up in the heavy steel era of Pittsburgh and developed my first roll of film when I was six years old. That environment taught me to look beyond the surface and dig deep \u2013 to find hidden wonders in the most unlikely situations. I\u2019ve been all over the world pursuing this vision but I\u2019ve found the real needs are much closer to my home here in Colorado.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>There are large areas of great beauty in the central United States that are coming under great pressure to be appropriated and exploited out of existence for short term gain. Often, these areas are presumed to be unworthy of preservation because their inherent beauty is hidden just below the surface.
